Welcoming Rahul Deshpande, a soulful singer turned music composer and a stalwart of Indian classical music was indeed an immense privilege. Just like Kumar Gandharva, in his own right, from the age of 5, through his timeless renditions of khayal, thumri, bhajans, and natyasangeet, he was able to enthrall audiences and achieved milestones such as the National Film Award and the Filmfare Award for his enchanting role in Me Vasantrao. As a true grandson of the iconic Pandit Vasantrao Deshpande, he singlehandedly rejuvenated the artistically driven culture of India and proved that he belongs in the realm of music and cinema. With such rich vocals, it comes as no surprise that he earned acclaim from across the world for performances like Katyar Kaljat Ghusali. The event was finally won over by Rahul Deshpande’s extraordinary vocals, and we are lucky enough to have caught his attention as he brilliantly seized the crowd’s focus for the entire duration. Excitingly, we were overjoyed to have him deliver a speech and share the stage with us.
